Number of coronavirus cases in Berks grows to 5

HARRISBURG, Pa. – Berks County now has five positive cases of the coronavirus, Pennsylvania health officials announced Friday afternoon.

That number is up four from Wednesday, when the county’s first case was announced.

Statewide, Pennsylvania now has 268 positive cases, with the most — 59 — being in neighboring Montgomery County.

 

Officials have not released any specific information about the cases, citing patient privacy issues.

So far, 2,574 people in Pennsylvania have tested negative for COVID-19.
