Global COVID-19 cases top 7.5M worldwide resulting in over 421,000 deaths.
Reading, Pennsylvania – According to data from Johns Hopkins University, global cases of COVID-19 have surpassed a total of 7.5 million in over 188 countries. The same data shows there have now been 421,456 deaths attributed to COVID-19 as of June 12, 2020.
Johns Hopkins is reporting that the United States now has tallied 2,023,347 COVID-19 cases which have resulted in 113,820 deaths. The United States tally of over two million coronavirus cases is leading the world, with Brazil, Russia, India, and the United Kingdom rounding out the top five.
Within the United States, the NY Post is reporting that Florida recently announced that after several weeks of reopening that they had tallied the single highest total of new covid-19 cases in a single day.
Additionally, there is a report that in Los Angeles that a husband (age 60) and his wife (age 38) both died of covid-19. The couple left behind five orphaned children.
